Fourth graders from Lincoln Elementary School in River Forest made their mark on the train embankment outside of the school last Thursday afternoon. The project was organized by Jean Bacom, a parent volunteer with the art program at the school. The first, second and third graders got their turn earlier in the week.

“I wanted them to create something together that’s beautiful for our community,” Bacom said. Before bringing out the paint, she had to clear the project with the railroad and the village.
