Congratulations to the undefeated OPRFHS Boys Soccer team who are ranked number one in the area by the Tribune’s local soccer guy . Now to be sure that ranking is the opinion of only one person,  albeit a presumably unbiased knowledgeable one. And if the Huskies lose today’s Pepsi Showdown challenge match to Wheaton Academy (5:30PM @ the Stadium) the lofty ranking might be short lived. But at least for a day   the Huskies are king.

In recent years the boys soccer team has come close to going to the state championship, but its path has been blocked by powerhouses Lyons and Morton , both of whom are yet again ranked in the Top 10. Maybe this year will be the year the lads and Coach Wright get over the hump. Time will tell, but it does appear that the season will be worth our soccer community’s attention. Go Huskies!
