OPRF boys golf
The Huskies finished sixth out of 20 teams at the Champaign Central Invitational held at the University of Illinois on Friday.
Dan Wojtak led the team with a 79. Other top finishers for OPRF included Connor Toye (81), Pat Murphy (82), Alex Decorrevont (82) and Pat Cusack (83).
OPRF was coming off a 156-157 win over Latin at Oak Park Country Club where Toye posted a 38 over nine holes.
The Huskies travel to Hinsdale Golf Course on Thursday to take on Hinsdale Central. They then have a week off before facing Downers Grove North on Sept. 8.
Fenwick tennis
The Friars went 2-1 on Saturday in an East Suburban Catholic Conference quad. The team fell to Carmel 4-3, but posted victories over Bishop McNamara and Marist.
Top doubles pair Katie Wilson and Claire Parrilli scored a win against Bishop McNamara, as did Kelly Collins and Lauren Frank at No. 2.
Against Marist, the Friars swept doubles. Cathlerine Joss and Molly Wallach won at No. 1, while Julia Mastrangeli and Natalie Grieco took first at No. 2.
Fenwick boys golf
The Friars finished third (320) at the 13-team Bishop McNamara Invitational on Saturday.
Mike Inzano led the charge with a 77, finishing fourth overall. Sophomore Owen Blakely shot a 79, while John Navarro finished with an 80 and Brian Boyle an 84.v
