The Oak Park Area Arts Council recently announced the recipients of its 2011 Fine Arts Scholarship program for college-bound students. Each recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship for their freshman year tuition and fees. The Oak Park Area Arts Council has awarded 105 scholarships in the last 14 years to graduating high school seniors who study the arts in college.
This year’s scholarship recipients are:
Patricia Graf, a theatre major accepted to the University of Chicago
Lucy Gill, a dance major who’ll be attending Columbia University in New York City
Olivia Romano, who’ll be studying art and design at Chicago’s Loyola University
Bridget Reinhard, a fine arts student enrolled at The Cooper Union in New York City
Emmet Wilder, a major in ceramics and geology at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY
The council’s scholarship review panel was made up of: John Mayes (chair), George Bailey, Ross Lissuzzo, Jessica Mackinnon, Neil McFadden, Keeley McNeal, and Kathy Osler.
