Segway weekend glide
Living in Oak Park, do you ever take the time to just ride around and enjoy this spectacular community? Every weekend, the Oak Park Segway Experience Center hosts a one-hour glide around Oak Park for $39 at either 9 a.m., 10:15 a.m., or 11:30 a.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. on Sunday. Rocking for a cause
The storms may be gone by Saturday but that unpleasant heat may still be looming above making it the perfect weekend to spend some time inside listening to some great music for an equally great cause. This Saturday, July 30, Grace Episcopal Church is holding its Rocking For A Cause fundraiser to benefit the church and the Hephzibah Home. Featuring local original music, you can visit their Facebook page for a full lineup. The event starts at 2:00 p.m. and will have music going until 11:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 924 Lake St. For more information, call 386-8036.
Concert in Scoville
To continue with the music theme, you can bring the whole family and a picnic to Scoville Park to hear the Banjo Buddies Dixieland Band perform. The concert begins at 5:30 p.m. and is sure to be a great time.
