Clair D. Wilcoxon, 77, died on July 10, 2011 at his Oak Park home. Born on Nov. 26, 1933 in Slayton, Minnesota to Ross and Anna Wilcoxon, he received his BA degree from Hamline University, a Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology, and his MA from the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Wilcoxon lived in Minnesota, Argentina, Florida, and Arizona and for the past 2 ½ years, he lived at the Oak Park Arms. Clair was a retired United Methodist clergy, librarian, and professor. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Norway and the Masons.
Clair D. Wilcoxon is survived by his wife, Fauntie nee Cutler; children, Scot Wilcoxon, Steven Wilcoxon, daughter Sandra Wilcoxon; son-in-law William DuPree; his three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A memorial celebration will be held Wednesday, July 20 at 4 p.m. at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. He donated his body to science. Arrangements were handled by Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home.
