Jill Briner, a four-year varsity volleyball starter at OPRF, began her summer on a roll.
Briner, an All-Conference selection her last three seasons, helped her club volleyball squad, the 1st Alliance Black Team, finish second in a field of 101 teams at the AAU Volleyball National Championships in Orlando. Briner, who capped off her club volleyball career playing in the national finals for three-straight years, was also selected to the AAU Club All-American Team.
The former Huskie missed her high school graduation ceremony on June 12 to help lead her team to victory in the Pre-Nationals tournament.
Briner has accepted an athletic-scholarship offer from Northeastern University in Boston.
