Attempted residential burglary

A victim inside a residence located in the 1100 block of Austin heard the sound of glass breaking in the rear of the home, opened the rear door, and saw three offenders fleeing the scene on foot on June 7. Three rear windows had been tampered with, and one was shattered. Estimated loss due to damage is $200.

Theft from person

An unknown offender approached a victim in the 800 block of Oak Park on June 13 and grabbed the victim’s iPhone from the victim’s hand. The offender then dropped the cellphone and entered the eastbound el train.

Criminal damage to vehicle

Jeremiah Green, 18, of the 500 block of Frederick in Bellwood, and Delisha Andrea Billingsley, 19, of the 200 block of Hillside Ave. in Hillside, were arrested and charged with criminal damage to vehicle for an incident that occurred on the first block of Erie Court on June 7.

Theft

An unknown offender removed an unsecured black and yellow Next boy’s bike from a location in the 300 block of Madison on June 8. Estimated loss is $150.

Someone removed a portable basketball hoop from the rear yard of a residence in the 1100 block of N. Austin between June 8 and 9. Estimated loss is $100.

Someone removed three Acculab Vicon digital scales from classrooms in Oak Park and River Forest High School between May 4 and June 1. Estimated loss is $1,050.

Theft arrest

An Oak Park juvenile was arrested on June 7 on the 100 block of Lake and charged with the theft of a cellphone.

Theft from motor vehicle

An unknown offender removed a catalytic converter from a 2006 Subaru Outback parked on the 300 block of North Blvd. on June 9. Estimated loss is $200.

Burglary to garage

An unknown offender broke a window in a vehicle parked at a location in the 900 block of S. Kenilworth between June 8 and 9 and removed the garage door opener. The offender then opened the overhead door and removed a blue Cannondale boy’s bicycle. Estimated loss is $525.

Burglary to auto

An unknown offender entered an unlocked 2009 Acura parked at a residence in the 1500 block of Forest between June 8 and 9 and removed an iPod Touch and miscellaneous coins. Estimated loss is $300.

Soliciting in the roadway

John Ragland, 48, of the 5600 block of W. Park in Cicero, was arrested on June 10 in the 700 block of S. Austin for soliciting in the roadway.

Delivery of alcohol to a minor

Khalil Draper-Kovarik, 21, of the 1100 block of S. East, was arrested at his home on June 12 and issued a citation for hosting an underage drinking party at his residence.

Motor vehicle theft

An unknown offender removed a 1992 Honda Civic 2-door hatchback from the rear parking lot of a residence in the 500 block of Bonnie Brae between June 7 and 8.

Retail theft

Christopher T. Love, 27, was arrested at a location in the 7200 block of North and charged with retail theft and disorderly conduct, after telling a clerk he was going to rape and kill her before leaving the scene without paying for some cigars.

These items were obtained from the Oak Park and River Forest police departments from June 8-14. Not all incidents that occurred are listed. Anyone named in reports has only been charged with a crime and cases have not yet been adjudicated.
