I was at first  surprised to see that there were 55 posted comments to Marty Stempniak’s little blurb that effective June first the Library will permit eating by its patrons. I wanted to see if I could piggyback off this surprising interest by generating my own comment. But for the life of me I couldn’t get worked up about it. Then it dawned on me I simply didn’t have an opinion.

Was there something wrong with me? Had the opinion lobe in my brain been impaired? How could there be 55 responses to such a tiny little announcement?  So I read the comments more closely, and I now have an opinion: most of the posted comments had nothing whatsoever to do with Marty’s piece, and there are some really stupid people that live in our community.
