Jack Gallo and Jack Ryan won all three of their No. 1 doubles matches at the Fenton Invitational on Saturday. Gallo and Ryan defeated Lake Forest, Timothy Christian and York.

No. 1 singles player Brian Hickey went 2-1 at the invite.

OPRF girls water polo

The Huskies (13-16) fell to Lyons Township 13-3 at the title game of the West Suburban Conference Meet on Saturday.

Abby Vogt scored two goals for OPRF, while Kimmy Stefanik had six steals.

In the semifinal, the Huskies downed Hinsdale South 10-3. Vogt and Alison Coogan scored two goals apiece in the win.

On May 4, the Huskies overpowered Morton for a 13-4 victory. Katie Appell led the charge with three goals, while Coogan and Jessie Conti each added a goal apiece. Zoe Erickson finished with 15 saves in the win.

Earlier last week, OPRF upended Latin 7-3 behind four goals and eight steals by Stefanik.

Fenwick volleyball

The Friars took down both St. Joseph and St. Laurence last week. Jeremy Gruszka and Michael Brosnan led the way in both games. Gruszka finished with six kills and three blocks in Fenwick’s 25-8, 25-23 victory over St. Joseph, while Brosnan dished out 22 assists. Both players finished with two aces apiece in a 25-9, 25-21 win over St. Laurence.
