The OPRF tennis team proved another top three or better finish at the IHSA State Meet this season is definitely a possibility by winning the stocked NaperValley Invitational on Saturday.

The Huskies edged Hinsdale Central by four points to secure the win, 80-76. The Red Devils finished second at state last season.

Jake Wilson won the No. 1 singles event with a hard-fought 4-6, 7-6 (10-8), 7-6 (7-2) victory over Hinsdale Central’s Sam Bloom. Devin Jones and Luke Trinka took first at No. 1 doubles with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Hinsdale Central’s Alex Hagermoser and Peter Heneghan.

OPRF also won at No. 2 doubles with Eric Brunseels and Tim McAdam taking first place.
