The Village of Oak Park announced this morning that it has lifted its snow emergency parking ban, giving motorists the go-ahead to resume their normal parking routines.

The ban had been in effect since last Monday, forbidding drivers from depositing their vehicles on major thoroughfares, and restricting cars to just one side of residential streets. Oak Park typically lifts the ban when the public works director determines that the roads are passable for emergency vehicles.
