You can cancel their games Mother Nature but you can’t take away their intensity …. once they resume playing their games, that is.
The area’s high school basketball teams jumped back into play with some high-octane games over the weekend. Fenwick boys nearly upset St. Ignatius, but took them to OT. Fenwick girls honored their seniors by crushing Providence. The OPRF boys and girls teams both split two big games on back-to-back nights. Oh, and Trinity won the Girls Catholic Athletic (Red) Conference Tournament with a 39-36 victory over Loyola on Saturday night.
