It’s time to give it up for the area’s future high school hoopsters. Whether they end up at OPRF or Fenwick, we’re likely to see most of these players at the next level. The rivalry between Julian and Brooks middle schools boys basketball teams this season produced some thrilling games, and showcased some top-notch talent.

Julian won the second annual Al Allen Village Championship with a 57-52 victory over Brooks. Julian finished the season 19-2.

Who’d they lose to twice during the regular season? Brooks, of course.
