A District 97 teacher has been nominated for the coveted Golden Apple Award, honoring outstanding teachers from the Chicago area. Jen Galant, a sixth-grade teacher at Julian Middle School, 416 S. Ridgeland, has been nominated for the award, District 97 announced last Friday. Nominations come from people in the respective school communities. Ten selected winners will be chosen and surprised with the announcement at their schools later this spring. The award includes a cash prize.
