The League of Women Voters of Oak Park and River Forest invites you to view this classic, insider view of Washington.  “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” looks at a new Senator’s dream of being a real public servant as he struggles to serve his constituents and uphold, what he feels, are the duties and responsibilities of his position.  This is a Free Event on Saturday, January 22nd at 1:30pm held at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St.  Free popcorn and a rousing discussion will follow the screening which asks the questions such as, “is it time for filibuster reform?” and “what is filibuster reform”.  More info at www.lwvoprf.org and www.oppl.org .
