Levell Coppage

OPRF High School graduate Levell Coppage made his way into the Jan. 10th issue of Sports Illustrated’s Midwest publication this week.

Coppage, a former student athlete at OPRF who played football and ran track, is featured as one of six Faces in the Crowd athletes in the Scoreboard Section of the popular magazine (page 24). The junior running back at Wisconsin-Whitewater was nominated for helping lead his team to a 31-21 victory over Mount Union in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl last month.

Coppage rushed for a bowl record 299 yards in the win and was named Most Outstanding Player for his efforts. He scored three touchdowns for the Warhawks, who earned their second-straight Division III National Championship and third in four years.

Coppage, 5-foot-8 and 180-pounds, finished the season rushing for a total of 2,107 yards and was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
