Nothing beats being ‘Home for the Holidays’
Still can’t find that one-of-a-kind holiday gift after scouring the big-box retailers and shopping malls? It’s time to think local. The Downtown Oak Park business association is hosting its third annual “Home for the Holidays” event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festivities include sleigh rides, a visit from Santa and free hot cocoa and coffee. Shoppers can also see a free 10 a.m. showing of the 1989 movie “Prancer” at the Lake Theatre.
