Who will be Wednesday Journal’s 25th Annual Villagers of the Year?
You tell us.
For the first time, the Journal’s editors are opening this long, secret process to our readers. We’re asking you to nominate the person you believe has made the biggest impact on Oak Park or River Forest in 2010. As we have since 1985, the Journal will feature the Oak Park and the River Forest Villager of the Year in our first issue of the new year, Jan. 5, 2011.
Time is short. We need your nominations by Thursday, Dec. 16. Click here to nominate someone.
In past years, we’ve recognized school superintendents, developers, upstart political organizers and the 1990 Miss America (Marjorie Judith Vincent of Oak Park). Twice we’ve honored groups of citizens who banded together to fight the good fight. Last year’s Villagers of the Year were Park National Bank’s Mike Kelly and now former River Forest Police Chief Frank Limon. And every year we write about several runner-up candidates.
Let us hear from you.
