Hundreds of village Girl Scouts went door to door in Oak Park and River Forest on Oct. 9, collecting donations for the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry, 848 Lake Street. The food drive restocked the Food Pantry’s shelves with over 31,000 pounds of beans, pasta, corn and other non-perishables, enough to feed those who utilize the Food Pantry for three weeks.

Girls Scouts also hung door signs in preparation for the food drive and transported, unpacked and sorted 15 tons of food.
