Arthur “Art” Lundgren, 86, of River Forest died on Nov. 15, 2010. A World War II veteran, he served in France and Germany, where he met his future wife. He spent the majority of his career working for the Episcopal Church, most notably as treasurer of the Diocese of Chicago.
Art Lundgren is survived by his daughter, Karen Lundgren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria (nee Kohl) and his sister, Margaret Dresser. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement, 5749 N. Kenmore in Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Episcopal Church of the Atonement are appreciated. It has been Art and his family’s spiritual home for 53 years.
