Recently, OakPark.com dining blogger David Hammond attended the Prairie Fruits ‘Farm Aid’ Fall Harvest and Cheesemaker Dinner hosted by Marion Street Cheese Market, 102 S. Marion. The message of the evening was to promote sustainable farming and demonstrate the quality and impact of farm-to-table food.
Among the dinner guests were Wes Jarrell and Leslie Cooperband, owners of Prairie Fruits Farm, who provided the ingredients for the night’s feast. Executive Chef Leonard Hollander was on hand to masterfully prepare the five-course dinner.
