NEWS FLASH!  Affluenza, that new designer disease sweeping our communities where children feel entitled to luxuries, CAN BE CURED.  Many of us in our communities don’t lack for food, clothing, shelter, and a multitude of luxury items too many to name! As parents, we can help our children shift their focus from “what do I get?” to “how can I help!” by participating in The Hunger Banquet.

Bring family and friends to The Hunger Banquet on Wednesday, November 17th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Dominican University.

You will:

  • Eat a complete meal or a small bowl of rice depending on your assigned economic level.
  • Discuss why food disparities exist and what you can do to stamp out global hunger.
  • Get involved in your community and connect with others.
  • Discover service opportunities for you and your family.

Please RSVP to Fran Nolan at fnolan@dom.edu by Friday, November 12. For more information, please visit http://www.dom.edu/ministry or contact OCON Community Ambassador Susan Lucci, smlucci@sbcglobal.
