River Forester and OPRF High School graduate Brad Bolen recently won the Quebec Open Judo Championship in Quebec, Canada.
Bolen who competes in the 145.5-pound weight division, also competed in Japan last month at the World Judo Championships as a member of the U.S. team. The 18-year-old former Huskie is currently ranked 18th in the world by the International Judo Federation.
Bolen, who trains in Albany, N.Y., has a shot at qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
