The non-profit organization Aspire, which serves people with developmental disabilities, needs your help at a fundraiser at a Chicago Fire Game! Julie Gies, Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for Aspire, shared a volunteer request that helps Aspire and gives volunteers a chance to see a free Chicago Fire game! Check this out, and confirm your participation with Julie as soon as possible if you can help:
Aspire, is looking for volunteers at the Chicago Fire Soccer Game on Saturday, October 16 at 1:00 PM. 20 volunteers (18 and older) are needed to canvass the crowd and sell raffle tickets for the Chicago Fire Foundation “Split the Pot for Charity! “. Nonprofits, like Aspire, are given the opportunity to provide volunteers for these raffles and the profits from the tickets sales are split between the Chicago Fire Foundation and the nonprofit. Last year we participated in this activity and received a check from The Fire for over $1500.00! Not only did we raise money to support our programs but had a lot of fun as well!!
If you are interested in volunteering , please contact me to confirm attendance. Volunteers will convene at Toyota Park (7100 Harlem Avenue, Bridgeview) at 1:00pm (game begins at 3:00pm) at Gate E where supplies and instruction will be distributed. You will solicit the crowd during their arrival and through the first half; tickets and money will be turned in at halftime for the drawing. All volunteers receive free admission; please note that parking is $15.00 and is not included. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
