A schizophrenic Oak Park man reported missing last week was found with his family in Forest Park on Wednesday.
Charles McCain, 57, went missing last Saturday from Oak Park’s Thresholds Group Home at 1102 N. Austin Blvd. in Oak Park. According to police, he left the home to run an errand, but never came back.
However, Oak Park police located McCain Wednesday around 6 p.m. with family members in Forest Park.
“He was apparently with family in Forest Park the whole time,” said Oak Park Police Detective Sgt. Art Borchers. “We’re going to try to find out some more information. If one side of the family reports him missing and he’s with the other one, that’s odd.”
