Fifteen Oak Park and River Forest High School students have placed as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists for the 2010-2011 program. Three students have also been named National Achievement Scholarship semifinalists, and one student received an honorable mention in the National Hispanic Recognition Program. OPRF’s National Merit semifinalists are among 16,000 academically talented students named nationally.
The students named this year are: Sophianna R. Banholzer, Owen J. Brady, Benjamin J. Carbery, Lucy L. Gill, Noah W. Gilmore, Jacob S. Ginn, Matthew S. Goodsmith, James B. Hanley, William B. Hardwicke, Benjamin J. Mildenhall, Lucille J. Msall, William Reynolds-Ejzak, Izsak M. Sheft, John T. Verticchio, and Mark A. Wallace.
Camille C. Gauthier, Camille M. Scott, and Anthony R. Stapleton are the National Achievement semifinalists. The National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar, receiving honorable mention, is Colin Haber.
