Ridgeland Common’s ice rink is opening Thursday, Sept. 30, after a broken part kept the ice from getting up and running in time for last weekend’s scheduled start.

Noon skate will be the first event open to the public at the Paul Hruby Ice Arena on Thursday, and will run from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

If you’re looking to partner a stick with those skates, rat hockey starts Friday, Oct. 1 at 8:45 a.m.

For a more complete schedule of public events, check out the Park District’s website.
