The Friars capped off a strong week of swimming by winning its own invitational on Saturday.
Fenwick, coming off a 130-56 victory over cross-town rival OPRF, took first at the Lady Friars Invitational with 613 points. Mimi Schneider won both the 50 (24.75 seconds) and 100 (53.57) freestyle events, while Paulina Kaminiski took first in both the 200 individual medley (2:10.45) and the 100 breaststroke (1:08.21).
“We have been training very well and are getting into a rhythm,” said head coach Renee Miller of her team that won every varsity event against OPRF. “I think everyone is starting to settle into a schedule.
“The girls are focusing on training and getting ready to take on Rosary again this coming weekend at Sandburg. We know we are about half way through the season and we have to stay focused on the end goal.”
