After testing the waters this past spring, an Oak Park entrepreneur plans to make her short-term clothing shop a long-term local fixture.

Sanem D’Angelo says her women’s boutique, Sanem’s, had a good go while running on a temporary basis during the month of March. So she kept it operating all the way into June.

Now, D’Angelo has decided to keep Sanem’s running permanently, building on the success of the test run. Located at 134 N. Oak Park Ave., in the former space of a U.S. Cellular store, the store will be a women’s clothing boutique and wardrobe consultation service.

The owner also plans to offer fashion videos at its Web site, www.sanems.com. D’Angelo – a five-year village resident and former manager at Bottega M in Oak Park – will hold a grand reopening of the store on Saturday, punctuated with a “trunk show,” that highlights a specific designer line.
