Wednesday, July 14 – is the last day for River Forest residents to purchase vehicle stickers without a penalty.

After Wednesday, the stickers’ price increases an additional $10.

The River Forest police department said it won’t ticket vehicles until next Thursday, July 22, but residents’ cars without an updated sticker may receive a $30 ticket after that date.

Stickers are available by mail, or at Village Hall, 400 Park Ave. Village hall is open 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Vehicle sticker costs

  • Passenger auto, motorcycle or moped: $45
  • Discount for senior citizens: $25 (one per household)
  • Trucks, B-plate vans and recreational vehicles: $50

Late fees

  • Purchased July 15 to Aug. 14: $10
  • Aug. 15 to Oct. 14: $15
  • After Oct. 15: $20
