A Pace shuttle caught the bad end of a cement truck Wednesday morning on the 200 block of Pleasant Street in Oak Park.

At about 10 a.m., as the truck was preparing to pour cement for work on the Taylor-Lombard alley, the shuttle came by and ran into the truck’s cement chute, according to Oak Parker David Kindler.

“An unintended consequence of alley reconstruction, I guess,” said Kindler, a photographer, who lives on the block.

Kindler said that although an emergency crew arrived, no one was taken away with injuries. The shuttle’s passengers, many of them elderly, were evacuated, one in a wheelchair.

“The chute made a big dent in the roof of the bus,” Kindler said.
