Wait a minute. Chuck D and Pam Grier were both in town last week and I missed them?!
As a faithful Wednesday Journal reader, and someone who has accused our quaint village of being a bit of a yawn factory, I would have loved to know about these appearances in advance. I know, I know, the sponsors of the events probably put a notice in the calendar section. But Chuck D and Pam Grier are cultural icons, not some cookie walk. The Journal is hardly allergic to mixing a little civic boosterism with the news (Tasty Dog Challenge, anyone?), so it would have been cool if you had sent the 411 about these events before they happened.
