The signs for U.S. Bank are now officially parked in the ground of our community. I hope that the beautiful landscaped red-brick buildings now occupied by U.S. Bank will serve as a strong reminder of the commitment and dedication to the community that Park National Bank had for many years. The bricks and mortar should remind U.S. Bank of the solid vision and mission that community bankers have to improve the quality of life for everyone in the community they serve. That vision and mission must live on as they park in the community and assume the business that Park National Bank built.

I strongly urge the city of Chicago and the Village of Oak Park to officially rename Austin Boulevard from North Avenue to Madison Street as Mike Kelly Parkway, to recognize the extraordinary contributions made by Mr. Kelly to our community.
