“A father wanted to be a strong presence in the life of his children, but now can only see them on Wednesdays and every other weekend …”
Which makes it all the more outrageous when loving gay parents, who are perfectly able to provide a stable home life for children, are denied the same legal recognition as straight parents because of what they do in the privacy of their own homes.
There are MORE people willing to be devoted to one another and hold up the institution of marriage, and Ms. Seuffert is saying we should approach that with caution?
How is this column not just saying, “Sorry, gays. You’ll just have to wait until straight people respect marriage before your own issues get resolved.”
