The Fenwick girls basketball team kicked off the Class 4A playoffs with a 69-40 rout of Conant on Wednesday night in
Oak Park.


Senior forward Tricia Liston led the Friars (27-3) in the semifinal game with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Williams added eight points, while Alyssa Dengler and Kathleen Roche each finished with six points apiece. Meredith Boardman chipped in five points and five rebounds. 


Fenwick outscored Conant 23-7 in the third quarter to pull away.


The Friars will take on Glenbard West on Friday night (
) at Fenwick for the regional championship.

Trinity

The Trinity basketball team crushed Manley 69-27 in the Class 3A Crane Regional semifinal last night. Taylor Nazon (14 points) and Shannon McGinnis (14) combined to score 28 points to lead the Blazers.

OPRF

The hoops season came to an end for the OPRF girls basketball team when the Huskies fell 52-43 to Proviso East in the first round of the Class 4A Rolling Meadows Regional on Tuesday night.


Stekara Hall scored 15 points for the Huskies, who close out the season with an overall record of 11-20. OPRF went 3-9 in the West Suburban (Silver) Conference.
