Fenwick High School raised $25,000 last week for St. Francis Xavier Parish in Baudin Haiti. The school at 505 W. Washington raised $14,000 in a single day last Wednesday. In all, the school netted $15,000 for earthquake relief.

Another $10,000 was donated by Fenwick alum and NBA guard Corey Maggette. The 1998 Fenwick graduate and shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors donated the money after learning of his former school’s effort.

Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Oak Park-River Forest raised $8,000 last Wednesday and plans to donate it to ShelterBox, an international relief organization.
