After watching well-conducted discussions between county board presidential candidates and candidates for U.S. senator on WTTW, we have no doubts in our choices of Cheryle Jackson to the U.S. Senate position and Toni Preckwinkle for president of the Cook County board.
Jackson and Preckwinkle are well-educated, informed on the issues, speak with dignity and are not in politics to advance their careers. It’s time for a change in Illinois politics. There are too many ambitious, opportunist candidates in both political parties, seeking to advance themselves for personal gain in current Illinois politics.
The opponents of Jackson and Preckwinkle are clear examples. It’s time for a change in Illinois, less the state sink deeper into the debt of economic, moral and degraded civic life.
