Can you tell much about Oak Park and River Forest residents based on the films they flock to see through the year?

We’re not sure what to make from the following list, sent to us by Classic Cinema’s Chris Johnson and Mark Mazrimas, but four of the 10 were animated and only two would be marketed specifically for adults:

1. Up (3-D animated film that adults liked as much as kids about a widower who flies his house to the Amazon)

2. Slumdog Millionaire (Won the Oscar for Best Picture of 2008)

3. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (H.P. always conjures an audience)

4. Monsters vs. Aliens (another animated film)

5. Coraline (yet another)

6. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (for action-film aficionados)

7. Star Trek (for Trekkies and action-film aficionados)

8. The Hangover (top slacker comedy of the year)

9. Julie & Julia (for foodies and those looking to revive their joie de vivre)

10. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (animated yet again)
