Dominican soccer’s impressive season came to an end on Friday with a 1-0 loss to Calvin College in the semifinal of the NCAA Division III Championships.
The Stars, who were making their first Final Four appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament, finished the season with a 19-2-3 overall record.
The lone goal came in the 78th minute by Calvin’s Brad Hethius.
Dominican strung together 13-straight victories after starting the season 6-1-3.
“We start seven freshmen and sophomores,” said Stars’ head coach Erick Baumann, “and being here might have been a little overwhelming for some of the guys. It’s a lesson that we will now learn from.”
