Brandon Holm, forward/midfielder for Concordia University Chicago men’s soccer team, was named honorable mention All-Northern Athletics Conference for the 2009 season.

Holm tied for the team lead this season with four goals. He netted two game-winning goals, one in a 2-1 win over Marian University on Sept. 12 and the second an 86th minute strike in a 1-0 win over Benedictine University on Oct. 13. Holm, a second-team All-NAC selection in 2008, finished his career with 13 goals and nine assists for 35 points.

“Brandon’s experience and skills were definitely major assets to our team this season,” said Cougar head coach Micah Middendorf. “He was an important part of the Cougar men’s program, and he can be proud of his contributions.”

Sophomore Chris Jahns was named as Concordia Chicago’s representative on the NAC All-Sportsmanship team. The defender/midfielder, who scored seven points this season on three goals and one assist, was described by Middendorf as “one of our leaders, someone who plays the game the right way and gives and receives respect on the field.”
