Golf Playoffs
Mike Sullivan and Mike Kwasigroch will represent Fenwick High School at the Class 3A State Golf Meet to be held at the The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington beginning this Friday.
Sullivan and Kwasigroch both shot 3-over par 75 at the Mt. Carmel Sectional held at Glenwoodie Golf Course on Monday.
Kwasigroch also led Fenwick at the St. Ignatius Regional by shooting a 75 on Cog Hill’s par 72 course. Others who made an impact in the regional for the Friars included Bob Besio (78), Jack Sloan (78), Sullivan (79), Tim Tynan (82) and Vince Mohawk (86).
OPRF boys golf
Junior Eric Cybulski and sophomore Alex DeCorrevant advanced out of the Mt. Carmel Sectional for OPRF. Cybulski, who shot a 36 on the front nine, finished 4-over par (76) at Glenwoodie, while Decorrevant was 7-over (79).
Three OPRF golfers advanced out of the St. Ignatius Regional last week. Neal Talaske scored an 80, while Cybulski and DeCorrevant both finished with 84s.
OPRF finished fifth as a team with a final score of 334 in the regional.
OPRF girls golf
Allison Monks and Emily Bacalao shot their way out of the Nazareth Regional last week. Monks scored a 90 at the Links of Carillon in Plainfield, while Bacalao finished with a 93.
As a team, the Huskies finished fifth overall with a score of 381.
Monks and Bacalao were set to compete in the St. Ignatius Sectional at Cog Hill on Tuesday, Oct. 13 (after deadline).

Kelly Summers shot a 95 at the Nazareth Regional to advance on to the St. Ignatius Sectional.
