I came across some news item saying Oak Park and River Forest High School received a high ranking on Newsweek’s 2009 list of top high schools. I noticed the criteria are based upon the number of students who complete college-level exams.

I find it very odd that these criteria only consider the top-achieving students. It doesn’t say anything about all the other students, or about the school itself. Therefore, I don’t think it’s right to say that OPRF is one of the nation’s best high schools if such a honor is only bestowed based on such criteria.
