I am a retired carrier from Oak Park. I served North Elmwood Avenue for 18 years. People don’t understand how the quality of service will suffer with these drastic changes. [Post office shake-up shakes up residents, News, July 15]

The regular carriers know each and every one of their customers. If letters are misaddressed, the regular carriers will still deliver them to the correct addresses. This is a bad move for the postal Service, the customers and the hard-working carriers.
