I was very surprised to see that your editorial staff endorsed the one-sided argument against union organization at West Suburban Medical Center. Why is the hospital so afraid to allow nurses to vote on whether or not they want a union? Aren’t they entitled to a vote? Aren’t they entitled to work for better patient care?
You did not even quote the labor side of the equation, and one wonders if Resurrection’s advertising dollars have swayed your opinion. You supported union custodians at the high school. Why not support nurses’ right to organize?
