Congratulations to the park district! The Longfellow Center playground is magnificent! There are so many things to do there, so much equipment! My granddaughter seems to love it there! I love it that my taxes have paid for such a nice place.
As Longfellow School’s former general music teacher (circa 1984-2003), I am particularly pleased about the music theme of the new playground. However, sorry to say this, but most of the musical items aren’t really tuned to anything. It would have been so much better if the notes played better on some of the items. It would have been better if the tubes were actually tuned, not just random notes.
