Tuesday, March 31: If you’re a business owner in Oak Park and you’ve been too swamped in day-to-day work to educate yourself about the latest ways to sell your stuff, listen up.

On Tuesday morning, bright and early at 7:30 a.m., the Village of Oak Park is sponsoring a free workshop called Social Networking Sites – Are You Connected?

You’ll get coaching on how to use Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Yes, this will help you learn the difference between a Facebook friend and a Facebook fan. You’ll also get the 411 on YouTube and, fingers crossed, you might become twitterate.

Presenters will be Eric Wettstein, a River forest resident who owns Kudzu Digital Consulting, and Matt Baron, a publicist who lives in Oak Park resident and runs Inside Edge: Public Relations & Media Services.

The two-hour workshop will be at Marion Street Cheese Market, which is at 100 S. Marion in Oak Park.

To get on the list of those attending, call Loretta Daly, Oak Park’s business services manager, at 358-5648 or e-mail to business@oak-park.us.
