The restaurant space at 734 Lake St. in Oak Park no longer is empty. At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Klay Oven opened in the space vacated in the spring when Cafe Le Coq closed.
The location in the Avenue business district of Oak Park is the second for the upscale Indian restaurant that has been a mainstay in River North for 17 years.
According to Vishal Khosla, 33, an Oak Brook resident who owns the restaurant with his father, Prem Khosla, the restaurant will be open for its full schedule as of Sunday.
Today and Saturday, Klay Oven will be open for dinner only, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. On Sunday, the restaurant will open for lunch, too, from noon to 3 p.m.
Usual lunch hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Usual dinner hours will be 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
