I’d like to publicly thank all who helped create a possible end to elevator legislation that was flawed both in the making and implementation. [Condos get lift as state delays costly elevator bill, News, Aug. 6]


An effective network has emerged and will continue to work at correcting the mess (except for the financial harm already done to condo associations that jumped to meet the now suspended mandates) and guarantee continued safe conveyance of people in elevators. We need no more harm from unions, politicians, or lobbyists. Constituents will remember who supported our best interests: Senator Harmon and Governor Blagojevich.
