Oak Park police are investigating multiple incidents of vandalism on cars this week.
In one night, from Tuesday, Aug. 12, into Wednesday, Aug. 13, eight cars were scratched. The word “keyed” was scratched on a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara.
The cars damaged range from a 2007 Honda Civic to a 2001 Jaguar S-Type. Estimates of the damage ranged from $100 to more than $1,000.
Total damage at one address-where four cars were damaged-was estimated at $3,900. On the 100 block of Home Avenue, scratches were found on a 2008 Infiniti, a 2006 Volvo, a 2003 VW and a 2002 Hyundai.
The other cars scratched were on the 200 block of South Boulevard, the 100 block of S. Kenilworth and on the 200 block of S. Oak Park Avenue.
